PostSubject: My Hub Dilemma   Mon May 06, 2013 3:46 pm

Hello mga ka 43!

im currently using Shimano Deore hubs on both front and rear wheels sa Vision Sub ko. Im planning to get another pair soon because, I want to transfer these hubs to my other bike. I also think na hindi kakayanin nang hubs any aggresive trail riding, jump duties basically all mountain stuff. though so far so good with some amount of abuse though iniiwasan ko nalang mag jumps to be safe.

Strange nga mga sir kasi sometimes there's that usual hub sound sa rear when your freewheeling but sometimes, its totally silent, no sound whatsoever. leads me to think baka may sira?

I would like to know if anyone has tried the ff: hubs? found these sa sulit kasi and i cant find them sa local bike shop namin.

techxium XC/FR hubs

origin8 hubs

traction hubs

i cant imbed a link sa mga words dunno why D:

im open din sa mga suggestions. Preferably 5k or less na budget for both front or rear hubs, thru or QR, six bolt or centerlock hihi.

use: all mountain

salamat poh mga sir!

Check mo yung FB ni sir Marky "BMX Cycle" dami kang pagpipiliang magandang hubs.
try mo rin humanap ng novatec or MOB depends on your budget and bling bling factors plus kung noisy or hindi ang gusto mo.

ung plan ko talaga is to use the hubs for my other bike. tapos change ako nang more durable hubs for that is more than capable for trail/AM purposes.

@Zachdaemon01: i'll take a look sa suggestion mo sir. okay bah ung MoB na hubs? i found it dito sa local bike shop natin. di kaya sobrang bigat? mabigat naman ung deore baka same lang sila. hindi naman sa ibebenta ko ung Deore hub if i get another one, i just want to use it for my other bike a hardtail pala that will be mainly used for on/off road trips, malayuang byahe, punta tiangge, that is why hanap ako for a more robust hubs for my trail/all mountain bike.

@Liez: i thought of it din sir, na gamiting nalang hanggang masira pero aun nga, naicip ko gamitin ko nalang for my other non aggressive bike. hehe

@Jang: ung una kasi strictly on paved roads tapos mga non-aggresive trails lang pinupuntuhan ko. kaya kumuha ko ng deore hubs staka suggested din sa local bike shop namin. hindi pa ako bihasa sa ibang klaseng pyesa nun din kasi newbie pa ako, after a few weeks, doing some reasearch, basa basa dito sa 43 Smile nakilala ko din na may marami pang matitibay na options that i could have gotten for. pasensya akala ko kasi ang deore hub do it all na nuun hehehe.

@RickShox: so far so good pa naman sir though un nga, parang there are tiems nwawala ung hub sound nya. tapos its silent when i got it but its louder now.
Im looking at the XT din sir or SLX kasi matibay talaga daw ang SLX sa nababasa ko tapos may savings pa. another advantage din if I choose between the two is that i can use my current rotor.

i'd be honest to say na a minor reason why i want to get these hubs (traction, element, techxium) is that they come in colors heheh. alam nyo na Razz gusto ko lang sana malaman kung meron ba sa inyo naka use nang hubs na ito and ano experience nyo. Smile

Check raven cycles.
