Thread Dedicated for MTB Street / Urban Parts

Do a Fakie/Rollback with out back pedaling Cool

KHE Geisha MTB Freecoaster

KHE is one of the most knowledge companies when it comes to Freecoaster hubs. We were first offering complete bikes with a Freecoaster hub long time ago even the small gear like 32T / 14T came out on the KHE Catweasle bike. Now we come back to the freecoaster business. The Geisha Free uses the simple threaded system. There are four sealed bearings, two under the driver and two big ones inside the alloy body. This makes the function mechanism real strong and precise compared to normal ball bearing coasters. Inside the alloy hollow axle we use a new Spring Ball System pushing heat treated balls to the cone part. This way the cone runs on balls and not on scratching steel spring like other manufacturers use. Important was that the gap is adjustable so you have three pedal space possibilities that can suit your style of riding. The hub comes with a 11T driver. But we are also offering 9T drivers working with a 1/2" x 3/32” chain (Tanga Chain) to save some weight. For that, we recommend using the 20T Ninja CD in combination with the Hindenburg flatland crank. Also, the front hub is made for Flatland. We placed the flanges closer together so there's more space to grab the fork.

What's the matter with this EAS system?
We have been working and testing our new axle system for quiet some time now “Equal Axle System” (EAS). It is a rather simple & hollow oversized axle in which it utilises specially designed ends. The biggest problem generally faced in this area is that after a bolt brakes, the thread inside the axle can cause a problem. This is why we designed and developed our own system. Our KHE designed adapters come with a larger flanges placed behind the dropout so that in any case of the axle breaking, our adapters can be easily replaced.
Also, when clamping the hub on the fork, there is no side power getting on the bearing, it's absorbed by the adaptor flange - so the bearings always glide perfectly and the hub can be wedged really tight.

Last Bikes - Zakk

The ZAKK rear cassette hub is made of 6061 and 7075 aluminum with an oversized axle and 10 mm CrMo bolts. The driver is a one piece construction made of super strong 7075 aluminum and features 6 double pawls. The one piece driver construction allows us to use bigger bearings in the driver. We use two 15x28x7 mm oversize bearings that have a static load rating of 2240 Newton and a dynamic load rating of 4360 Newton. This is more than 200% compared to bearings used by other companies in their single speed drivers. The result is a dramatically increased life time for the driver bearings. The flanges are spaced symmetrically 35,5 mm from the center line for similar spoke tension on both sides. This gives you a stronger and more balanced wheel. The big diameter of the axle cups gives you a rigid interface with the dropouts. Besides this we took off all unnecessary weight, which leads to a total weight of 449 g (11T), 450 g (12T) and 457 g (14T). These weights include steel bolts. The hub is designed to work with 3/8" wide chains, 135 mm dropout spacing and comes in 32 and 36 spoke holes.

Atomlab have been dropping a lot of groovy products recently. These are their Pimp hydraulic brakes. They’re aimed at the dirt jump/ slopestyle market and are like an average brake but with a twist – literally.
The new Hydrotwist is a hose detangler that works like a cable Gyro on a BMX and lets you do as many barspins or tailwhips as your heart desires without your hoses tangling up.
A hose enters the spinny ring at the top and one exits at the bottom. In between is a channel for the hydraulic fluid, which is sealed by 360-degree full-contact O-rings.
The system fits between the headset and stem and adds 25mm in stack height, so consider buying bars an inch lower then you would normally run. Make sure you have enough steerer tube too.
