Im planning to change my stock GT cranks with either of the 2..my worries are if they are strong enough to handle my massive 87 kilos of pure muscles^^ while doing my bunnyhop 180 to butt/knee landing with matching rolling the body combination trick..coz i noticed that both cranks have a weld on the spindle part..unlike the stock GT that is a one piece metal up to the connection of the spindle..and also will my bike be lighter if i change my cranks?

theres a good bicycle shop in dubai that carries both of this brands and theres also pinoy staff there who is a flatlander..the shop is wolfies bike shop.

Mmmmm, sa akin lang a, your present cranks with the pinch bolt will be much much tougher than the wombolt and the felt crank, kaso lang mabigat yun cranks mo, riders who need to lighten their bikes sometimes have to sacrifice a bit of durability, this is where your personal experience comes in, tatantsahin mo kung tatagal sa yo yun pyesa, depende yan sa laro mo, also depends on how smooth you are.

That said, I doubt masisira mo yan sa bunnyhops or 180s lang, it will take a lot more abuse to break it.

You can try looking for profile cranks, kasi mapapansin mo yun profile, hindi welded yun arm sa kabitan ng spindle, rather yun arm is a whole tube na may butas, tapos nakasuksok yun kabitan ng spindle dun sa loob ng butas, mas matibay siya. Pag walang profile, try looking for cranks with the same construction as this.

the felt cranks suck0- if you check the price range- its more of the intermediate crowd- or entry level.

The Twombolt is the upgrade to the infamous wombolt. Logic dictates that 2 is the higher number than 1, so thus must be better than the older one. I would suggest this crank to anyone- Provided you will buy from an accredited distributor of odyssey. This is because of the warranty you can get from buying that crank. the cranks that were sold here in the phils were coming from a "gray market" so were not even sure if that passed odyssey standards, a design flaw (thus the twombolt) or just a Taiwanese cleaning out the old stock.

Profile on the other hand is the "best" crank out there- presumably because the are made in the good ol' U.S. of A. NOw, to analyze- the price of the crank, or price of metal used on that crank- is relatively the same as its Taiwanese counter part- Dont the marketing gimmicks get the best of you. The price premium that you are paying for is not because of a better metal- its because of the quality control they have over these things. they make 100 pairs- and only 40 or so will pass the QC- the other 60 will become "madera" or so and so cranks-

Pinch Bolts on a metal crank- are fine- some can argue better than spline interface because they are easier to remove and build- manufacturers also love them because of the low tolerances on building one- the only problem that these cranks face as of yet- is metal fatigue on the pinch bolt area- that's the weakest point of this crank.

Now- i will recommend that you get at them minimum a 22mm spindle with you cranks- 19mm is just to small for you.

22mm is the diameter of the spindle right?...nga pla if i use this odyssey twombolt cranks, pde nko mg micro gearing ano?...la na mods na dpt gawin sa cranks?..blak ko kc mg 22 chainring pra bawas weight ng bike.

Yes gamit ni aaron un- pero di naman ibig sabihin di na siya nasisiraan nun- He uses it because it's given to him free of charge- on the other side of the coin- he also trust's his biking career on them- one snap can cause a knee smashing or back breaking accident- Lastly- dont also expect him to run his twombolt for more than a year- he changes them as fast as his tricks-

but still- check for more info about this crank- if they made a 170mm of this- i would personally use them because of their good strength to weight ratio.

Base sa description mo sir- i wont recommend going lower than 25-
28 is the optimal smallest - when you compute Knewtons/ per teeth and chain. naninira ng kadena ang 22 teeth and lower.. kung di naman.. bumabasag ng plato ang 22 teeth.

To rationalize it sir- a good 100 grams of metal added to strengthen your drive train is better than 10 grams of missing incissors..

b4 s wombolt q gumamit din ako ng 22t kinikil q lng ung sprocket bolt nya pr di sumabit s chain a lil bit...then ngaun twombolt n cranks q i think n same mods din ggwin q s knya...im still weytin for a nice 24 frame.....
